Jack,

Fr. Giussani gave a great talk called "Per Una Parocchia Viva" (for a parish that is alive) which is really excellent in describing the gift that the movements can be to parish life. Unfortuanately I've only found it in Spanish and Italian. I will try to see if someone has (will) translate it into English.

JACK

Stephen, that would be great. Is it different than the piece Don Giuss presented to the Plenary Assembly on the parish that the Pontifical Council for the Laity held? But that could be a different one.

Stephen

Yeah, it's different. It was a talk he gave at a Parish in Milan in the 80's.

JACK

I'd love to see it then, Stephen. I doubt that babelfish would do a good enough translation of the Italian. Dang, too bad it isn't in English.

Stephen

Do you read Spanish?

JACK

Unfortunately, no, not yet. But plenty of people around me do. I could see if I could get one of them to translate.
